Harrow Green Community Library (HGCL) is proud to provide four regular free activities which offer something for all ages in the community. These have been made possible because of funding from the Lottery and provide a great opportunity to develop and share interests. But we need your involvement to create enjoyable and worthwhile experiences.
So please come along and make the most of what is on offer. And if you want to know more about any of the activities, contact details are included below.
For children 3-11 years old to enjoy stories with their parents and carers. Local storytellers, including Jane Grell, share the magic of storytelling and build confidence in reading aloud. Older children will be encouraged to read to younger ones from books in the library collection. Meeting monthly, on the first Saturday of the month, 2–4pm at the Epicentre, with refreshments. For more information, phone Ros on 020 8555 5248 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once a month we meet at Harrow Green Community Library to chat over tea or coffee about a text chosen by club members. This can be a book or an excerpt from a novel, a poem or a report from a newspaper, whatever takes your fancy and gets you reading. Meeting last Monday of each month, 10–11.30am.
See Reading Club.
Interested in writing creatively but not sure where to start? Have you done some writing but don’t feel confident in sharing the results? Then please come along and join this monthly group at the Epicentre. We aim to ‘have a go’ and develop our skills in writing with some expert help, to grow in confidence and to publish a collection of some of the resulting work.
Daytime meetings on the first Friday of the month, 12–2pm.
Evening Meetings on the first Wednesday of the month, 6.30–8.30pm.
Please Contact Deborah on 020 8257 1144 or email email@example.com and put creative writing group in the subject line.
