Harrow Green Community Library is run totally by volunteers and is now well into its fourth year.

HGCL Annual Review 2016
We are based in the Epicentre Community Centre in West Street, Leytonstone, thanks to the support of the local housing association, the CBHA. If you aren’t sure where the Epicentre is see our Contact Us page.
Thanks to the many donations from supporters we now have around four thousand books with a particularly diverse and interesting fiction collection. You can search a PDF of the Library’s Catalogue and, for inspiration, our Reviews page.
We are open on three days a week:
Mondays from 11am – 4pm
Thursdays from 3pm – 5.30pm
Saturdays from 11am – 2pm
For details of how you join the Library see Membership.
Earlier this year, thanks to funding from the Lottery, we launched four free activities which have been very successful and are all continuing.
Monthly Family Storytelling sessions on Saturdays 2pm-4pm.
Guest storytellers and puppeteers involve all the family in creative and exciting approaches to telling and enjoying stories.
Weekly English Conversation Class on Tuesdays 10-12 noon.
This continues our current regular class to increase vocabulary and confidence in English. Led by an experienced teacher.
Monthly Creative Writing Group. Daytime session on the first Friday of the month 12pm-2pm. Evening session on the first Wednesday of the month 6.30pm-8.30pm.
An introduction to different forms of writing and an opportunity to work towards a publication.
Monthly Reading Club – last Monday of the month 10am-11.30am.
A chance to chat about whatever gets you reading and relax with a cup of coffee or tea.
The Library depends totally upon our wonderful volunteer force. We are always looking for new volunteers and for additional members of our planning group.
